Because many authors withdrew their manuscripts in final form just before the payment of the publication fee, our policy was changed on 20 February 2019. The publication fee was replaced by a processing fee (250 USD), which is paid after a preliminary evaluation (not at the end of the process).

Authors are informed about the final decision (acceptance or rejection) within 3–8 weeks after submission. The average overall time from manuscript submission to publication is 10 weeks. Faster processing involves a priority fee (50 USD).

Statement of human and animal rights
When reporting experiments involving human subjects, authors should indicate whether the procedures followed were in accordance with the ethical standards of the responsible institutional and national committees on human experimentation and with the Helsinki Declaration of 1975, as revised in 2000.
If there is doubt as to whether the research was conducted in accordance with the Helsinki Declaration, authors must explain the rationale for their approach and demonstrate that the institutional review body explicitly approved the relevant aspects of the study.
When reporting experiments involving animals, authors should indicate whether institutional and national guidelines for the care and use of laboratory animals were followed (International Committee of Medical Journal Editors – Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals, February 2006 – cited by PubMed/Medline).
Statement of informed consent
Patients have a right to privacy that should not be violated without informed consent. Identifying information, including patients' names, initials, or hospital numbers, should not be published in written descriptions, photographs, or pedigrees unless essential for scientific purposes and written informed consent has been obtained.
Informed consent requires that identifiable patients be shown the manuscript prior to publication. Authors should identify individuals who provided writing assistance and disclose the funding source for such assistance.
Identifying details should be omitted whenever possible. Complete anonymity is difficult to achieve, and informed consent should be obtained whenever there is doubt. Masking the eye region in photographs is not sufficient to guarantee anonymity.
If identifying characteristics are altered to protect anonymity, authors must ensure that scientific meaning is not distorted and editors should be informed accordingly (International Committee of Medical Journal Editors – Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals, February 2006 – cited by PubMed/Medline).
Conflict-of-interest statement
Public trust in the peer-review process and the credibility of published articles depend on the proper handling of conflicts of interest during writing, peer review, and editorial decision-making.
A conflict of interest exists when an author, reviewer, editor, or their institution has financial or personal relationships that could inappropriately influence their actions. These relationships may range from negligible to significant potential influence.
Financial relationships (employment, consultancies, stock ownership, honoraria, paid expert testimony) are the most easily identifiable conflicts and may undermine credibility.
Conflicts may also arise from personal relationships, academic competition, or intellectual bias. The Chief Editor takes appropriate measures to prevent such conflicts through established peer-review policies.

Post-publication discussions are encouraged and may take the form of letters to the editor, commentaries, or formal responses to published articles. Such contributions are subject to editorial evaluation and, where appropriate, peer review. The journal reserves the right to publish author replies to comments.

If the journal ceases publication, Bioflux Publishing has agreements with several databases authorized to preserve and republish archived content in unlimited electronic and printed copies.

Advertising policy
Our journals do not accept or display any form of advertising, sponsored content, or commercial promotions. No third-party advertising networks are used, and there is no advertising revenue associated with our publications.
Statement on the use of Generative AI
Our journal permits the use of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) tools in the preparation of manuscripts, provided that:
1.Transparency – Any substantive contribution generated by GenAI, including text, figures, or data summaries, must be clearly disclosed in the manuscript. Authors should cite the specific tools used and describe the extent of AI assistance.
2.Author Responsibility – Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and originality of all content submitted. The use of GenAI does not relieve authors from their ethical, legal, or scientific obligations.
3.Limitations – GenAI outputs may contain errors, biases, or unverified information. Authors must carefully review and validate all AI-generated content before submission. The journal and editors do not assume responsibility for inaccuracies originating from GenAI.
4.Peer Review – Manuscripts containing AI-generated content will undergo the same rigorous peer-review process as all submissions. Reviewers and editors may request clarification on AI-generated material to ensure scientific validity.

Manuscripts must be submitted in English. The text should be prepared in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format. All manuscripts are subject to peer review.

More info: The AES Bioflux journal welcomes original manuscripts presenting novel insights into plant life, plant biology, agriculture, horticulture, forestry, agricultural policies, marketing, and agricultural economics. It is a peer-reviewed biannual journal aimed at disseminating significant research in the form of original articles, comprehensive reviews, mini-reviews, short communications, or critical notes on plant breeding, genetics, biodiversity, and the development of new methodologies relevant to a broad audience of plant scientists.
Authors are encouraged to formulate their research questions and discuss their findings in relation to major scientific questions in plant biology and agriculture, thereby maximizing the scientific impact and relevance of their work. Manuscripts should be of interest to a wide scientific audience and, even when focused on local contexts, must contribute to broader biological and agronomic knowledge. Submissions must provide a substantial contribution to the advancement of knowledge or to the improved understanding of existing concepts.
All manuscripts undergo double blind peer-review by two independent specialists, as well as linguistic review. Submission implies that the manuscript has not been published previously and is not under consideration elsewhere.
The journal content may be used for educational and non-profit purposes under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license, provided that the original authors and source are properly cited.
Manuscripts should be submitted via e-mail to Professor Ioan Valentin Petrescu-Mag (ioan.mag@usamvcluj.ro). Submissions may be original articles (4–30 pages), short communications (3–4 pages), or reviews (10–30 pages). Editors reserve the right to adjust manuscripts to meet journal formatting standards. Authors are strongly encouraged to carefully prepare submissions to facilitate the review process. Revised versions may be requested prior to final acceptance.
The title must clearly reflect the content and should not exceed 120 characters. It should be followed by the full names of the authors and their affiliations. Complete institutional addresses and email addresses must be provided at the end of the manuscript. Any change in affiliation should be clearly indicated. The corresponding author must be specified where applicable.
All manuscripts must include an Abstract in English, followed by 5-8 keywords.
The manuscript must be prepared using the journal template. Authors should retain a final copy of the manuscript and figures. Scientific names of genera and species must be italicized. At first mention, species names should be written in full (e.g., Urtica dioica), and subsequently abbreviated (e.g., U. dioica).
The SI system of units must be used consistently (e.g., g mL⁻¹ instead of g/mL). Non-SI units may be included in parentheses where necessary. Footnotes should be avoided. Tables must be numbered consecutively (Arabic numerals), be self-explanatory, and included within the text at appropriate positions. All tables must be cited in the text (e.g., see Table 1).
Citation Style – APA 7
In-text citations must follow the author–date system: Smith (1975) demonstrated that…, or (Hubbs & Lagler, 1958; Baker et al., 2008). For three or more authors, use: (Yano-Melo et al., 2003).
References must be listed alphabetically by the first author’s surname. At least 80% of references should come from internationally recognized databases (Clarivate, Scopus, Medline) or books with ISBN.
